While I did not think Ombre hair is my style, Ombre nails I love.
HOW TO:
- Apply a layer of the lighter color as a base and let it dry completely (June 539)
- Soak the makeup sponge in water and squeeze out about 80% of it leaving it damp (This keeps it from absorbing the nail polish)
- Apply the base color across the top of the sponge (June 539) and the other color following right below (May 535)
- Line the tip of the sponge with your nails and start dabbing away.
- Re-apply each nail polish on to the sponge for every other nail.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 when applying a new layer for each nail. Make sure each layer is atleast 70% dry before sponging again to avoid any smudging.
- Once satisfied with the intensity of the ombre, clean up the sides with either a Q-tip/ paint brush dabbed with nail polish remover.
- Apply a top coat once the polish has dried. This will help even out and blend the Ombre.
